Downtown Federal Way has nine General Merchandise stores that total an estimated 550,000 square feet.

Seven of these establishments are household names such as Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Michaels, Tuesday Morning, HomeGoods, and Walmart. Two of these establishments—Daiso and Home&Home are less common. Daiso offers Japanese housewares, snacks, and other merchandise. Home&Home focuses on Korean home décor and housewares.

Sears closed its store in The Commons Mall in 2018 and remains vacant.
